Hello! My name is Christina Abadie. I am a freshman at Delaware County Community College. This is a site I created for my English class to write about different discussions and essays from class. I will be blogging which is new to me about my writing and different other things that I may feel the need to write about. I will allow feedback but please keep it clean because I would like to share this experience with my children and husband.
I am a 35 year old mother of 4 boys that keep me very busy. I am majoring in Nursing and will be transferring to another college once I have my Associate's Degree finally. I have always been interested in taking care of others. When I was 21 I joined the US Navy and became a Hospital Corpsman and went to trade school for Medical Assisting. The next year they gave me a job teaching and it was fun, but not what I really wanted. My youngest developed ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) so I quit my job teaching and just focused more on the kids and took care of him. Now, he is in remission for 4 years and only has checkups every 6 months. So now I am proving to my kids that it is never to late to figure out what you want and to go to school. Although I'm hoping that they learn from me as well to figure it out much sooner so it will be easier before they are married and have kids.
